GizzWood is a 5-axis CNC woodworking studio for designers, architects, brands and private clients across the United States. We turn 3D models, sketches and ideas into finished pieces: 3D relief carvings, custom furniture parts, molds and prototypes, wall panels and one-off sculptural work.

• Molds and prototypes: product molds, chair molds and prototypes before production.
• Parametric and architectural pieces: flowing wall panels and structures for interior and architectural projects.
• Sculptures, figures and special pieces: one-off commissions such as figures, reliefs and lecterns.
• Batch production: repeat parts for designers and brands once a prototype is approved.

Materials

We work with all wood species, from walnut and chestnut to oak, ash and linden. Beyond wood, we machine aluminum, brass and lead, as well as XPS foam and carbon fiber for molds and prototypes.

File formats

Send us your 3D model as an OBJ or STL file, or in another common 3D format. If you do not have a model yet, send a sketch, photo or drawing with dimensions and we will tell you what we need.

How it works

1. Send your project. Email your file or sketch, the size, the material and the quantity to officialgizzwood@gmail.com.
2. Quote. We review your project and send you a quote.
3. Production. Your piece is machined on our 5-axis CNC and checked by our craftsmen for grain direction, finish and structural integrity.
4. Delivery. We deliver to clients across the United States.

How CNC projects are priced

Every CNC project is custom, so there is no fixed price list. The price depends on the size of the piece, the material, how much detail and machining time the design needs, whether it is a one-off or a batch, and the finish. Send us your file and we will quote your project.

What file formats do you accept?

OBJ and STL, as well as other common 3D formats. A sketch or drawing with dimensions is also a good place to start.

Which materials can you machine?

How long does a CNC project take?
